This NAIDOC Week, Woollahra Group brought to life the 2025 theme—“The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”—through a powerful celebration of culture, community, and impact.
Hosted at Birli Gallery, a 100% Indigenous-owned art space in Midland, the day was a reflection of everything Woollahra stands for: connection to culture, investment in people, and creating meaningful opportunities for the future.
A Story Told Through Art
At the heart of the event was a live painting by talented Noongar artist Iesha Wyatt, who created a commissioned piece titled “Ripple Effect.”
The artwork captures a simple but powerful idea:
one act of generosity can create a lasting and far-reaching impact—just like a ripple moving outward.
What began as a moment of creativity during NAIDOC Week has now become something much bigger.
Turning Purpose into Action
Woollahra is proud to announce that Ripple Effect is now being offered through a silent auction, with all proceeds going toward a life-changing outcome.
The goal: to purchase a car for our two Indigenous trainees, Jarome and Dante.
Both are less than a year out of high school and are currently working hard to complete their traineeships while building their independence. Like many young people, access to reliable transport is one of the biggest barriers they face.
They are now close to completing their required hours on their learner permits and preparing to sit their driving tests.
A car won’t just make getting to work easier—it will:
- Create independence
- Unlock new opportunities
- Support long-term career growth
- Empower them to take the next step in their journey
This is what a ripple effect looks like in action.

Be Part of the Ripple
This is an opportunity to own a unique and meaningful piece of Indigenous artwork—while directly contributing to a real and lasting impact.
How to bid:
- Submit your silent auction bid via email to: ssmith@woollahragroup.com.au
- Bidding will remain open until COB Friday 29th August 2025
- Updates on the current highest bid will be shared throughout the campaign
Creating Legacy Through Opportunity
At Woollahra, we believe legacy is not just something you leave behind—it’s something you actively build.
Through initiatives like our Woollahra Traineeship Program, and moments like this, we are committed to supporting the next generation with real opportunities that lead to real outcomes.
Ripple Effect is more than an artwork.
It’s a symbol of what can happen when community, culture, and purpose come together.
