SURECYCLE PACKAGING REUSE

Closing the Loop on Chemical Packaging

Recovering, cleaning and reusing eligible chemical containers to reduce single-use packaging and create measurable circular economy outcomes.

PROGRAM RESULTS RECORDED FROM MARCH TO 1 SEPTEMBER 2026

5,221 pails returned
3,079 pails washed and reused
678 10-litre drums washed and reused
1,916 kg plastic packaging reused

Turning Empty Containers into a Reusable Resource

SureCycle is Surekleen’s closed-loop packaging recovery program, created to reduce the volume of chemical containers entering single-use waste streams.

Eligible pails and drums are collected from participating customer sites and returned to our facility. Each container is assessed, cleaned and prepared for reuse where it remains suitable.

By keeping serviceable packaging in circulation for longer, SureCycle reduces demand for replacement plastic while helping customers improve the environmental performance of their cleaning and chemical supply arrangements.

A Practical Closed-Loop Process

The program connects customer sites, transport and Surekleen’s manufacturing operations in a repeatable packaging-recovery cycle.

01

Use

Surekleen products are supplied to participating customer operations in eligible reusable packaging.

02

Return

Empty containers are consolidated and returned through the agreed collection process.

03

Inspect & Clean

Containers are inspected and thoroughly cleaned before being approved for another use.

04

Reuse

Suitable packaging is returned to circulation, extending its useful life and reducing demand for new plastic.

Measured by Containers Reused

SureCycle is designed to create measurable packaging-reduction outcomes rather than relying on environmental intentions alone.

From March to 1 September 2026, the program received 5,221 pails and 719 ten-litre drums. During that period, 3,079 pails and 678 drums were cleaned and returned to productive use.

1,916 kg of plastic packaging reused during the recorded program period

These results demonstrate how a practical recovery process can convert everyday operational packaging into a measurable circular economy outcome.

Better Outcomes Across the Supply Chain

01

Less Single-Use Packaging

Serviceable containers remain in circulation instead of being treated as disposable packaging after one use.

02

Reduced Plastic Demand

Reusing existing packaging reduces the need to manufacture and introduce replacement plastic containers.

03

Measurable Customer Impact

Participating customers can connect operational purchasing with tangible packaging-reduction outcomes.

04

Local Circular Capability

Recovery, cleaning and reuse are coordinated through Surekleen’s Western Australian operations.

Designed Around Operational Reality

Effective recovery programs need to be practical for the customer sites, logistics teams and manufacturing operations involved.

Participation arrangements are developed around the products being supplied, the type and volume of eligible packaging, site location, storage requirements and available return pathways.

  • Assessment of eligible containers and product lines
  • Agreed on-site collection and storage arrangements
  • Planned return logistics
  • Inspection and cleaning at Surekleen
  • Tracking of recovered and reused packaging
  • Ongoing review as customer requirements evolve
