International Women's Day 2023

Women in business are breaking barrier and making waves across the world. This year’s international Women's Day has fallen on the 8th of March. It is a time for us to celebrate the women around the globe and promote an equitable practice in business and life.

At Woollahra we would like to shine a light on two remarkable women who embody the spirit of the organisation and run our all-female warehouse, Charlie and Carmel. They are the backbone of our operations, they have been working tirelessly in the heat of summer to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality service.

Charlie has been working as the Warehouse manager for over 18 months, with a keen eye for detail, she over areas all aspects of our warehouse operations. Charlie is always striving for excellence and to continuously improve our process. We are very appreciative to have her on our team!

Carmel a proud Yamatji women, brings a positive attitude and infectious smile to the team. A skilled forklift driver and pick packer she epitomises the spirit of hard work and determination we strive for at Woollahra. Warehouse work can be physically demanding for anyone, despite the physical demands of the role Carmel has a positive and enduring attitude. We recognise and support the unique strengths and outlook she continually brings to the table.

We are proud to have a team that represents a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. Charlie and Carmel are just two examples of the amazing women who work with us. They inspire us with their hard work, their passion, and their commitment to making a difference. As we celebrate International Women's Day, we want to thank Charlie and Carmel and all the women who make our organization what it is. We are grateful for their contributions, and we are committed to supporting them as they continue to grow and thrive!
