Surekleen Phoskleen 5L – Phosphoric Acid Descaler

Product description

Phoskleen is designed to remove inorganic contamination such as calcium scale, lime scale, rust and hard-water mineral deposits from compatible commercial equipment and hard surfaces. Remove grease, fats and other organic soils with an appropriate detergent before descaling.

Why Choose Phoskleen?

Concentrated Phosphoric Acid Performance

The formula contains less than 40% phosphoric acid and has a neat pH below 2, delivering controlled acid cleaning across maintenance and heavy descaling tasks.

Case Study

Purpose-Built Mineral Scale Removal

The supplied TDS and SDS document Phoskleen as a phosphoric acid descaler containing less than 40% phosphoric acid, with pH below 2. It is formulated for lime, calcium, rust staining and hard-water mineral deposits on compatible acid-resistant surfaces.

Regulatory transparency: Schedule 6 Poison and Class 8 Dangerous Goods, UN 1805, Packing Group III.

Application & Technical Information

Flexible Dilution

  • Routine maintenance: 1:20 — 30mL per 600mL water
  • Light to moderate scale: 1:10 — 30mL per 300mL water
  • Heavy scale: 1:2 — 30mL per 60mL water
  • Extreme build-up: use neat only under an approved procedure

Compatible Applications

Suitable for ceramic and porcelain, glazed tiles and grout, and stainless steel. Typical uses include commercial amenities, shower screens, wash basins, stainless fixtures, commercial dishwashers, glasswashers, bain-maries, stainless tanks, pipework and industrial equipment affected by mineral scale. Follow equipment-manufacturer instructions.

General Application Method

  1. Remove grease and organic soils first with a suitable detergent.
  2. Prepare the required dilution under the site chemical-handling procedure.
  3. Apply with a cloth, sponge or controlled low-mist method.
  4. Allow 2–5 minutes contact time. Do not allow the solution to dry.
  5. Agitate if required.
  6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Commercial Dishwasher Descaling

Empty and drain the machine. Refill with clean water, add Phoskleen at approximately 1:20 dilution and circulate through a complete wash cycle without dishes for 10–15 minutes. Drain completely, refill with fresh potable water and run at least two complete rinse cycles before returning the machine to service. Always follow the machine manufacturer’s recommendations and site procedure.

Surface Restrictions

Do not use on natural stone or other acid-sensitive surfaces. Avoid prolonged contact with aluminium. Test an inconspicuous area first. Phoskleen may corrode metals and must be kept in compatible corrosion-resistant containers.
